The end of an era

On wednesday 18th of july, I, Melissa Akposoe graduated from the University of essex. Graduation was such an emotional day for me. Words cannot describe the struggle that I went through. Studying criminology when my heart was in fashion styling I tried so hard to keep up appearances. Out of everything, I have to give thanks to the Lord almighty. When I was heavy and low, he carried me and saw me through. God is so wonderful and I will never stop praising him for placing me in his favour. To see my mum, father and brother so proud of me was so emotional and I just give thanks in abundance. The struggle is over and I'm just so happy that my family came to celebrate my success. I give thanks to my best friend Roberta for her loyalty to me and even though she couldn't be there for my special day, I felt her presence. I'm so grateful for my life and I'm just very happy!

My beautiful ethiopian friend Alpha. Soon, I won't have to introduce her because she'll be that big! Alpha is definitely going to change the world for the better and her success is unlimited! I started secondary school with alpha at age 11 and we were in the same class for 5 years. She went on to college for two years but we attended the same university. I've had so much fun with alpha and she is just the nicest person! God bless her life!

This is my friend anna! She made me laugh so much and kept my spirits high when times were hard! Thank God for Anna's life and she will forever be great! Gold bless you Donna!

 My mum and my step dad! My mum is something else. She has been there for me through thick and thin. She has been my mum and dad for a huge part of my life and i thank God for her strength and courage. My mum has recently made a huge decision that has will change our lives forever but im happy that she's doing what makes her happy. She is my biggest inspiration! My step dad is the best guy in the world. He is so wise and is always my voice of reason. He was there on my first nerve-racking day of uni and he was there to celebrate my graduation. and every day in between! My step dad is has been here for me since and I just love and thank him for being the best father figure ever! I'm so happy to have him as a father.

This is my beautiful angel andrea! Andrea has been so much for me! She's been my shoulder to cry on my agony aunt my everything! The most alturistic person I know. She got into London School of Economics to do her Master of arts and im SOOOOOO proud of her! No one deserved that more than she did! God bless you andrea and if you're that young, she may even be your lecturer one day!
